Lately Eli's been getting more and more enjoyment out of portrait shoots. He does tons of research before his shoots, and finds each one to be a challenge that he's excited to meet! Although February was full of jewelry shoots and photographing paintings, we did have a couple portrait shoots (including the one in our last post). The other one was a scheduled work shoot.
Eli was contacted by the owner of a local marketing firm (and fellow artist) Holly Deitz about doing some portraits for one of her clients, Scotty Roberson (an investigator for an attorney).Eli was excited to take the job and about the challenge of meeting Holly's request for edgy headshots. He spent plenty of time testing lighting and doing research in preparation. The shoot lasted a few hours, and Eli took hundreds of photos. He shot some in the studio as well as outside around Greenville. Of course there were MANY impressive shots, and both clients were very happy with the outcome. So now's the time where I show you the images from the shoot and let you be impressed! Enjoy!

Great work as always Eli- my personal favorite is the predominately black environment with the color accent on the purple....you captured what seems like his persona in that portrait and that is why I think its the most compelling and dramatic image. You should offer "not so flat portrait monday" LOL...where individuals can come and have a portrait shot for a flat rate in your studio! Schedule 30 minute sessions...Charge $100 bucks each session and I would have 3 people from our new business lined up outside :) You know me always looking for a way to promote new business ideas!!! Great blog post Julie- Thanks. Bruce ( I had to use Shannons google account to get this posted )
